Perrier’s Bounty (#75)
This was super fun and funny. I’m a fan of these Irish-gangster-black comedies like The Guard and this one holds up well. Cillian Murphy’s great, as are Jodie Whittaker and Brendan Gleeson (Jim Broadbent’s naturally magnificent, even if he can’t keep the Irish accent). Well directed by Ian Fitzgibbon and hysterical writing from Mark O’Rowe. I’d love to see more from both of them. Plus, there’s the swoon-inducing voice of Gabriel Byrne! I give it two thumbs up.
